Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bagged the coveted Digiratti Award for its Social Media Campaigns at the The Futurist CMO Conference hosted by Paul Writer held on August 23rd and 24th at the Re:gen:ta Hotel and Convention Centre, New Delhi. Strategic Outsourcing Services spearheaded the creation of end-to-end digital campaigns for KSRTC that helped them gain huge popularity on the Internet.
As part of the social media plan, Strategic Outsourcing Services revamped the existing KSRTC site and created Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus handles. Email campaigns were rolled out to connect with KSRTC’s existing and prospective customers. Customers were able to get real time information which increased their satisfaction levels and created a better image for the brand as being customer sensitive and reachable.
The highlight of the digital campaign was the emphasis that was put on ‘Green’ initiatives such as environment friendly safety standards, bio fuel by KSRTC. The attempt highlighted their endeavor to bring down pollution and reduce their carbon footprint.
This example clearly shows us the power and reach that social media marketing has in this digital age. KSRTC has come full circle with better customer satisfaction and interaction. Harnessing the reach and ‘on the go’ power of social media should be of high priority for any digital marketer today.
